So, today I have to write about any theme, great!
I want to write about my favorite girlband: Little Mix.
This group is from the UK and is formed by 4 girls: Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards.

They competed in the X factor UK in 2011 and were the first girlband to win in the history of the show. They met each other there. One judge decided that they looked great together and formed the group, and she was totally right! They were really talented, and amazed the audience. That same year they debuted as a girlband with their first single "Cannonball". After that, they released their first album "DNA" with the lead single being "Wings"
7 years have passed, and they're stronger than ever. This year, in November 16th, they released their fifth album "LM5" with songs about female empowerment and body acceptance, taking all the sexism and the insults that they have received and using it to show the world how much have they grown.
For example, there is this song from their last album: Wasabi

You make up shit to write about me

Like 'she ain't wearing no clothes!'

'I bet they gonna break up'
But what the hell do you know?"
Personally, I love them because is really difficult to be a female singer in the pop music industry, people think that women can't sing and they are famous just because they are pretty. They have overcome that and now they are a inspiration to many women around the world. They are trying to make a change and that is the most beautiful thing about them.
LM girls are very talented. Personally, I have a lot of their jams in my phone, but my favorite is 'Power', especially the Stormzy's part, when he sings "you see, I'm not a guy, but there's power in my losses and there's power in my wins". Also I like 'Change Your Life' and 'Little Me', i swear I don't cry every time I hear these (?)

i love girl bands too, they have to go through a lot, a lot more than boy bands, and they manage to still shine <3

Very interesting read about this, because I didn't know the girlband, but so you say it would be good to hear it. I like the music that delivers a message! I think I'll look for her songs.
ResponderBorrarI love girl bands, my older sister just to listen a lot of girl bands and boy bands, I like them a lot, I remember to be a little kid and play whit plastic dinosaurs while listening to the spice girls !

ResponderBorrarI met Little Mix the year they started as a band, because one of the member's of One Direction (my favourite band at that time) was datting Perry. I love their music, and I'm so happy that they are singing about themes that are really important right now: the empowerment of women!
